There were some explosive moments in the weekly promo for the week of April 28-May 2, but let’s talk about what happened with Sonny and what could happen next!
Sonny Was In Deadly Danger
The promo kicked off with an unexpected twist featuring Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). In the hospital, Brick, who is Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right-hand man, informed his ex-wife, ‘We have a little situation.’ The scene then cuts to Carly, her jaw dropping in shock, as she appears utterly blindsided by Brick’s revelation.
Looking back, the episode from General Hospital on Friday, April 25, left viewers on edge.
The silver lining was that Sonny’s surgery went well, but the troubling aspect was that a mysterious nurse entered with a syringe containing an unidentified substance.
Come Monday’s episode, what many feared about Sonny dying as the result of a Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) copycat killing, was prevented.

Sonny has come too far to let it end here anyway, but ultimately, Sonny didn’t need to eliminate her; Brick took care of that, leaving Sonny unharmed.
But that might not align with the ‘official’ narrative; this could be the chance to uncover who sent the nurse, though he certainly won’t extract any secrets from her! And neither will anyone else-but Sonny’s not one to take things lying down and not be in a position of power.
The Official Story-Puts Sonny In A Position Of Power And Still Is Self-Defense
While attempting to gather information and prevent her from injecting him, he might have inadvertently killed the nurse in self-defense.
A simple jab with the needle she brought during their struggle could have led to this outcome, but when she drew a gun on Brick, he retaliated! It seems that the identity of the individual behind these assaults on Sonny will remain shrouded in mystery but the official story will be Sonny killed her in self-defense-Brick’s gun will have his prints.
Consequently, Sonny’s act of killing the nurse in self-defense would serve a dual purpose: it would heighten awareness of a looming threat while positioning Sonny as a figure of authority.
