If you are a Lucky Spencer fan, pop the champagne, pull out your toast glasses, and get ready for some exciting new developments, because the beloved character is making a grand return to General Hospital! According to Deadline, it has been confirmed that Jonathan Jackson will reprise his role, bringing back the charm and charisma that endeared him to fans worldwide.
Jackson’s return is the same one that Frank Valentini, the Executive Producer, was hinting at during 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards.
Jackson is making a comeback this Summer for a longer run this time. He was last spotted on the show back in 2015, but his original stint dates all the way back to 1993. Jackson portrayed Lucky on and off until 2011, when he left to star as Avery Barkley in ABC’s Nashville for six seasons. During his absence from the show, actors Jacob Young and Greg Vaughan (now on Days of our Lives as Eric Brady) took turns stepping into the role of Lucky.
During his run on the ABC daytime drama, Jackson was nominated for nine Emmys and won five in 1995, 1998, 1999, 2011 and 2012.
With his return, there is no doubt that the drama and intrigue in Port Charles are set to reach new heights, and viewers will undoubtedly be on the edge of their seats to see what fate has in store for Lucky Spencer.
