GH’s Adam Huss Promises He’s Not Dead!
Soap fans love following their favorite stars on social media to keep up to date on their lives, both professional and personal. Adam Huss (Nikolas, General Hospital), is usually pretty active on social media, so when he fell quiet recently, some really crazy rumors started flying around saying that the actor had died!
Thankfully, Huss popped back onto his Instagram to assure fans that wasn’t the case. “Thank you for all the concern,” he wrote. “I say this with a chuckle, but — I am alive — despite the gossip mill saying otherwise. Just another reason I am taking a social media break.
“I do check this from time to time and I see your messages,” he continued. “I appreciate every one of them. Thank you for caring and being fans of whatever projects you’re discovering of mine. I do not take that for granted. I have been busy filming and also taking time to figure out how to do exactly what this quote says, in spite of whatever else is going on in the world or comes my way. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.”
The quote in question is the image in Huss’ Instagram post which is a quote from the 13-century poet and scholar Rumi. “Be a lamp, a lifeboat, a ladder,” it reads. “Help someone’s soul heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd.” Words that everyone should try to live by.
Huss first stepped into the role of Nikolas Cassadine back in 2021 for an episode to cover for Marcus Coloma, then again for a week in November 2022. And when Coloma exited the show in January 2023, Huss took over to finish out what appeared to be Nikolas’ final scenes on the soap. But of course, the character wasn’t dead after all, and Huss has continued to return periodically.
Nikolas was last seen on GH back in August of this year when Laura visited him in prison to have him tested but unfortunately they discovered he was not a match to donate liver tissue to Lulu and he urged his mother to find Lucky and bring him home. Meanwhile, Huss has been keeping very busy shooting a new television series called Heavy Hitters with GH alum Ted King (ex-Alcazar)!
