Rabat – Sean “Diddy” is once again in the spotlight for bad press, this time alongside Jay-Z. A lawsuit at the US federal court has accused both the rap celebrities of raping a 13-year-old girl during a party in 2000.

Converging reports today the amended civil complaint on Sunday said Shawn Carter, who performs under his stage name Jay-Z, and Diddy allegedly raped the girl following the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2000.

“Another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor. Many others were present at the after party, but did nothing to stop the assault,” Al Jazeera quoted the complainant as saying.

Jay-Z responded to the accusations, as reported by The Guardian, denying the allegations. He further claimed that the complainant is using this as a “blackmail attempt.”

“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,”  Jayz-Z’s label Roc Nation posted on X.

He further said in the statement that the allegations were “so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!”

The new accusation comes amid disturbing reports pointing to Diddy’s involvement in sex trafficking and racketeering,  with allegations that he forced women into multi-day sex sessions involving male prostitutes, all of which were reportedly filmed. Among the alleged victims is superstar sensation Justin Beiber.

The rapper is currently jailed in New York.
